Looking for a great place to visit? At Maypole Airfield we pride ourselves on having everything you might want for a pleasant flight and an interesting day out.
At the Airfield
The airfield is situated in a rural location on the edge of Maypole village. Visiting pilots are welcome to make tea/coffee in the clubhouse and have a biscuit or two ! There is an honesty box in the clubhouse – we would appreciate a donation towards the cost of any drinks or biscuits taken, please !
Outside, there is a seating area with tables and chairs if you fancy bringing your own picnic.
If you want to stay overnight, we have wires in the grass which will secure your aircraft. There is a good, local B&B. However, if you want to camp on site, please let us know. We have toilets with hot and cold running water and a microwave in the clubhouse.
This traditional pub is just a couple of minutes’ walk away. Food and drink are served, both in the restaurant and in the garden. N.B. the pub is very popular and gets busy, particularly at week-ends. So it is best to book for meals beforehand (01227 860338)
