The images below were taken in early Spring and clearly show the runway area with the surrounding field shapes. The entire airfield area is grassed and it can be more difficult to see the runway until you are quite close. Look for the windsock and the point of the large wooded area to the West of the airfield.
When the grass has been mown from the areas surrounding the runway, it can be difficult to see where the runway edges are until you are close. You must take care that you are landing on the runway and not on the rough ground between the runway edge and the fence. This ground is not suitable for any aircraft movement. If you are on the runway you will be at least 45 ft from the fence, which is about 4 feet high and runs along most of the runway sides.
